Announcing a book giveaway! I will be giving away two copies of my newest book, In the Company of Women, to two people who leave comments on my blog. Just leave me a comment and check back to see if you’ve won and I’ll let you know how to receive your copy of the book.
Here’s a synopsis of In the Company of Women:
When a group of women come together in a critical year in their lives, they learn that gratitude for what life does or doesn’t bring you, and friends both old and new can carry you through no matter what is thrown at you. Gillian faces a life threatening surgery; Nancy and her husband must deal with the hardest trial of their lives together; Joyce is forced to give up her most precious dream and take up a new and more powerful one; Emma discovers she has something that can change not only her life but her community’s; and Nancy’s daughter Jane is given a chance to share a long held secret and learns, along with the others, how forgiveness’ embrace can give you a new life.
Ultimately they all discover that when things do not turn out the way you want they can turn out to be what you need. These women take life head on and know as long as they have each other it is possible to triumph over it all. They are stories all women can relate to.
In the Company of Women explores the strength of friendship, the gift of gratitude, the power of forgiveness and how a group of women can change themselves and those around them.
The winners will be announced here Friday, March 11, 2011. Good luck!
"In the Company of Women" sounds like it fits into the same genre Debbie Macomber's "Thursdays at Eight", "A Good Yarn", etc. fit into. Can the New York Times bestseller list be far behind? ;) lol

I love how you have addressed that every woman's situation is different, with different trials, but they can be a support system to each other anyway. It sounds like a wonderful book, and I would love to own a copy {hint, hint} :)
ReplyDeleteYou are a talented author and I have enjoyed everything I have read so far!
This sounds like a good book for my reading circle to enjoy. We are always looking for books that would interest women aged late 40's to our two members who are 89 yrs old (both born on the very same day). Thank you for this opportunity.
